P. K. Chakrabarti
I completed my graduation in Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur (1989) and Ph.D. in Technology and Manufacturing Management from Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) Bangalore (1997). Post education, through eleven (11) years of my corporate career, highlights have been a number of challenging assignments in design, development, training and mentoring projects and teams in organizations such as Hindustan Lever, Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Siemens Information Systems Ltd. and GE (chronologically).
Over past six (6) years in GE, I embraced change, took risk, moved across teams and utilized all opportunities to develop well-rounded competencies. Combining my technical depth and competency in various domains synergistically, I have contributed to and impacted my businesses by building passionate, empowered teams committed to highest standards of professional excellence. I have led/ impacted a number of software, hardware and process based projects/ programs and our teams have delivered results accomplishing Six Sigma Quality level.
I have received 'Management Award’ for team excellence in 2001, 2002, 2003; Hats off award in 2001 and Most Valuable Person award in 2008. A certified Black Belt, I strive to lead Quality and/ or IP initiatives of a business unit to make winning impact on GE Businesses and GE customers.
