Prof. Jajoo

Academic Affiliation
Joined IIMA  in 1980 after obtaining Ph.D. in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, India. Was a Visiting Professor in the Department of Computer Science at University of Delaware, USA from 1987 to 1989. Published in Indian and international academic journals. Presented papers in several national and international conferences.

Professional Affiliation
Participated in more than thirty consulting projects for national and international, private and public sector organizations. Has been invited several times to design and conduct workshop and seminars at several reputed institutions, corporate houses, and professional bodies like CSI and IEEE. Currently a member of board of directors of three IT companies. Has delivered keynote address in many IT events organized by industry and academia.

Area of Research
Computer Networks, Internet/Intranet/Extranet, E-commerce, System Administration and Network Management, Desktop computing, Design of organization-wide computing environment, Managing IT infrastructure, and Technology investigation, comparison & selection studies.

Current Research
Current research and development interests include IT industry trends, technology investigation, comparison, evaluation and selection studies; internet technologies; convergence trends; post-PC era devices; end-user computing; groupware and collaborative computing; design, implementation and management of IT infrastructure based on computer networks; automation of desktop management; system and network administration; out-sourcing and facility management; and application of IT in government sector.

Publications/ Articles/ Cases
Has published more than twenty five papers in national and international journals and conferences. Has co-authored three books.
