I joined SAC, ISRO (ESCES) on 29th March, 1971 after completing my M.E. Course in Communication System from IIT-Roorkee, the then Roorkee University. The first assignment given to me in SAC, ISRO was to design and develop Audio FM modems and Base Bard equipment to work in Earth Stations being used for Satellite Instructional Television Experiment (SITE) at Ahmedabad, Delhi, and Amritsar. In 1975 I was made In charge of Amritsar Station and participated in one of the biggest Television Experiment in India i.e. SITE.

After SITE I worked as Project Engineer of Ship Borne Communication Terminal (SCT) project. Under SCT the first Mobile Earth Station was developed in ISRO for Maritime Mobile Communications Services. The SCT was designed to work with INMARSAT Satellites for Voice and Data communication. Under this project various technology like stabilized platform, digital modulation, SCPC, L Band LNAs, Power Amplifier, Frequency translators etc. were developed.

The first Experimental Indian Communicate Satellite “APPLE” was launched in 1980. Under Apple Utilization Program (AUP) various technologies like TDMA, SSMA and Small Communication Earth Station (SCOT) were developed. I worked as Project Manager of AUP. Under AUP, SAC also developed two small Terminals of 1 meter diameter Antenna first time in India with SSMA technology. Many times SCOT was used by defense and civil at the time of natural calamity.

I was also the Project Manager of establishing the “International Monitoring Earth Station” at Jalna, for Wireless Monitoring Organization under UN Program.

In 2000 I joined Cabinet Secretariat, Delhi on deputation and work as Joint Secretary for three years. At cabinet Secretariat I contributed in many securities related technical programs of National Importance.
