WIE APPATHON '17

Hacking is building things that you always wanted to have but no one has built it yet. It's to come up with an amazing idea and work tirelessly on it. It is to fail, fail again and fail better. Try out new things and learn while doing that. It's to work together, collaborate and build things that are innovative.

The Women In Engineering (WIE) affinity group of IEEE SB DAIICT is organizing 'Appathon ’17' wherein you will be making an innovative mobile application in the given time frame. We highly encourage female members to participate. We welcome and encourage any kind of innovative applications that can have high utility or impact value.

IEEE (The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers) Student Branch at DA-IICT endeavors to promote student awareness among students on the opportunities that exist in the field of electronics and electrical engineering. Our objective is to bridge the gap between industry and students studying in technology-related fields, while promoting and providing an intellectually stimulating university environment for the student body. IEEE Student Branch, DA-IICT aims to provide an interactive platform for students to develop professional and technical abilities. Since the inception, it is successful in organizing various events with well defined objectives.

In these 36 hours of brainstorming, all the designers, thinkers, programmers and developers will come together to create applications which might pioneer in the near future or are extended versions of the already ruling notions in the app market. Apps may be built on Android, iOS or Microsoft platform and hence not constraining the creativity of the participants.

With that spirit, Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT) is conducting a hackathon - Appathon '17 and invites all developers and hackathon enthusiasts to participate in an interesting and engaging hackathon.
