All participants from otside colleges need to inform us about their arrival by sending a mail to ieee@daiict.ac.in. The mail should contain the following things: all members' names, all members' email address, Team leader's college name, Team leader's contact no.
 
Contest Overview

IEEEXtreme Programming Competition 3.0 is a global challenge in which teams of student members, supported by an IEEE Student Branch, advised and proctored by an IEEE Member, compete in a 24-hour time span against each other to solve a set of programming problems. Teams will include up to 3 IEEE student members (Student Members (StM) or Graduate Student Members (GSM). It is mandatory that a participant must be an ieee member. A single student branch can form multiple teams. The challenge starts at 00:01GMT (05:31 IST) on Saturday, 24 October 2009, and finishes at 00:00 GMT (05:30 IST) on Sunday, 25 October 2009. IEEE Student Branch DA-IICT will be hosting the contest for teams across Gujarat.

Who is a Proctor?

Each of the contest Venues would have a Proctor, who would be an IEEE Member of higher membership grade (not an undergraduate student member).

Proctor Tasks

  • Receiving problems and provide them to students
  • Monitoring the general flow of the activity
  • Informing students when the competition begins, at the middle of it, when there are 6 hours left and when there is 1 hour left
  • Collecting the solutions to each of the problems and keep a record of the timing
  • Not letting himself/herself or anybody external to the team members help the students in resolving the problems in any way
