Problem solving is an art we perform everyday; be it standing in a queue, managing a bookshelf or finding shortest path to a destination. This is an art most people are familiar with if not all. The new thing is just to code it in a language. So fold your sleeves and Grab this opportunity to the fullest of taking part in one of the most exciting coding event, iRelay. A handful of questions and 3 participants, and prizes; where else would you get a chance like this? It doesn't matter whether you are a skilled coder or a newbie. Just give it a try, you may learn something new; who knows!

The event as explained is a team event. Team will be of 3 members where each member will be given a chance to code for a specific amount of time and his next teammate will have to continue the work, just like it happens in relay races.

  • If the problem statement doesn't specify the names of input or output, you must read the data from the standard input and write it to the standard output
  • You are forbidden to perform input-output operations except for the opening, closing, reading, and writing files and standard streams given in the problem statements to perform input-output.
  • You are forbidden to run other programs and create processes
  • You are forbidden to work with external devices
  • You are forbidden to perform any other actions that can, in any manner, destabilize the judging process.
  • During the round, the contestants are allowed to use any books and personal notes as well as a code written beforehand by you personally.
  • You may use third-party prewritten code with some restrictions.
  • It is allowed to use any sources of information on the Internet (but it is forbidden to copy-paste somebody else's code).
  • The contestants are forbidden to talk about subjects related to the problems with anybody, including other contestants. It is only allowed to ask questions in the WhatsApp group.
  • The organizers of the contests have the right to monitor the contestants' honesty in behavior using different methods and disqualify the contestant if violations are found.
  • All programs submitted by the contestants for judging should be aimed at solving the problem and not at violating rules or destabilizing the judging system. A contestant who deliberately attempts to destabilize the judging system will be disqualified.

DA-CTF was started to generate awareness and interest in cyber security in the student community.


Taste the first blood of information security by capture the flag using your fluid knowledge of computer science and applying it.

Challenges include use of cryptography ,steganography, binary analysis, reverse engineering, coding knowledge etc.

  • Reach the online platform 30 minutes prior to the start of the event. Latecomers would lose their time in the game.
  • No collaboration between individuals and flags sharing is not allowed.
  • Participants can register through DA-CTF platform.
  • There will be 3 levels easy, medium and hard.Each challenge has one flag
  • There will be different points for level of challenges.
  • Flag should be written anywhere in code or decrypted text. In the form of FLAG{captured}.
    Suppose in text file you got some encryption, then you have to submit the decrypted text FLAG{hacked}
  • There will be a live dashboard which will display which player has captured the flag in least time.
  • Participants are not allowed to publish solutions during the course of the event(blog, GitHub, YouTube etc.)
  • If a player captured all the flags in less time then that player would straight away win and if it is a tie then player with less time is given priority.
  • Any participant violating the above rules will be disqualified from the contest.

  • This is a team participation hackathon. You can have at most 5 members in your team.
  • You can either invite your friends to form a team or you can request other teams to add you as a member.
  • The registration fee for this event is null. However, the interested candidates need to register for i.Fest'20 by paying Rs. 100, which will give them allowance to participate in many other events including i.Web'20.
  • The team submissions will be judged virtually, from which some teams will be shortlisted.
  • The Shortlisted teams are required to present their submission to the judge at the mentioned date and venue.
  • All teams have to be prepared for the final day presentation in case they are shortlisted. Any discrepancy in this might lead to team disqualification.
  • Online code helpers like Codepen , Wordpress are strictly prohibited.
  • The rules of the event are subject to change on the jurisdiction of the organisers of the event.
  • The hackathon will start at Nov 10, 12:00 AM IST and end at Nov 20 11:59 PM IST, you work on your hack during the allotted time only.
  • It's an online hackathon, you can participate from anywhere.
  • There are 5 themes for the hackathon, you must submit a hack that is in one of the given themes.

  • Your hack must be developed entirely during the Hackathon duration. You may use open source libraries and other freely available systems / services such as Google Maps, Facebook Connect, Twitter feeds etc.
  • The intellectual property of your code belongs only to your team.

  • There will be 6 questions with increasing difficulty order. Each question will carry some points.
  • There is no partial marking scheme. Either you get full points or no points at all.
  • Contest will be held on hackerrank platform . Link to the contest will be given sufficient time before the contest.
  • You should not share solution ideas , refer other’s code during the contest. In the discussion forum, you can only ask doubts regarding the questions , if any. If any contestant is found violating the rules he/she will be disqualified.

If you have any projects or research papers that you would like to show off, this is the event for you! A project and research paper competition to present your innovative and mind-boggling ideas.

  • Allowed team size is 1-3.
  • Poster size must be A3.
  • Poster format must be PDF with a maximum size of 10MB.
  • There are two categories for submission UG(Undergraduate)and PG(Postgraduate).
  • Participants will be given 15 minutes to present their posters and 5 minutes for question answers.
  • Each team can submit only a single poster.
  • Submission details will be mailed to all registered participants.
  • Submitted posters will be screened by the coordinators who’ll check to see the relevance of the poster with the event theme. On clearing the screening process participants will be notified for the final round via email.
  • The final round will be on November 21, 2020.
  • Further details will be mailed to all the shortlisted participants.
  • In case of any issue, the decision taken by the judge will be final.

  • This round is basically General Qualifier
  • Mostly objective type questions will be asked, some of them can be blanks or matching type.

  • Round 2:The Semis
  • Rules are same as of round 1 but difficulty level will increase and even marking scheme will contain negative marking.

  • Round 3:Bidding Wars
  • It is an ‘Auction round’. All individuals will be given a certain fixed amount of virtual money to bid in the auction.
  • There will be 12 questions in total, each will be having a certain number of points, which may vary according to its difficulty.
  • Each question has some reward points based on difficulty.
  • Individual which has highest reward points at the end will win.
  • In the beginning of the round there will 12 questions shown on the screen one by one. Each question will be shown for 25 seconds.
  • The bid will start from a minimum allotted amount. If the team thinks they are sure to solve this question they can bid on that question.
  • After all the questions are auctioned the highest bidder will Allow to solve that question in about 180 seconds.If the highest bidder fails to answer the question will be passed to next highest bidder.The bidder won’t be allow to exceed the bid limit.

  • The registration for treasure hunt will end 3 hours before the event starts.
  • You can register as a team(only 1 member of the team has to register) or as an individual. Each team will contain 5-7 members. If you have registered as a team containing less than 5 members, then you will be grouped with another team or individuals to make the size of your team at least 5.
  • Each participant has to join via google meet(link will be provided prior to the event).
  • If you have registered as an individual, you will be provided with a separate google meet room which will only contain your team members. Participants who have registered as a team are expected to make their own rooms for discussion.
  • A google meet link will be provided for each location on the map. Each clue will lead to a location and all the members of the team will have to join that location’s respective meet link.
  • If the team is successful in solving the particular clue, they will be provided with the next clue and so on.
  • The team has to keep note of all the solved clues till the end of the treasure hunt.
  • Any form of indecency or cheating can lead to a team being eliminated.

  • Hack versions of any game are strictly prohibited.
  • In knockout games, in any round if an odd number of players will be there, then any random player will get a bye
  • Players must report within 5 mins of the allotted time of their respective matches. Not doing so will lead to disqualification of the team or individual.
  • Make sure your internet connection is good enough. If your connection breaks in between the match then the opponent will be declared as winner of that match .
  • THERE IS NO PROVISION OF REMATCH IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES
  • Match fixing and sledding is strictly prohibited.

  • 8 Ball pool
  • A knockout base tournament.
  • All matches will be played in Moscow only.
  • Every match will be the best of one.
  • Gamer can use any Cue of his choice.
  • All gamers must share a screenshot of their match result as soon as the match is complete. We will cross verify screenshots of both players of every match.
  • We will share the schedule of the tournament with the player's unique Id, it will be your responsibility to make the opponent as a friend in the 8ball pool.
  • Providing a wrong unique id may lead you to disqualification.

  • Valorant
  • A Knockout base tournament.
  • To be played on Mumbai servers.
  • Team leaders must join the valorant voice channel within five minutes of the allotted time of their match.
  • Map Selection:
  • There are 5 maps in total. Firstly both the teams will rule out 1 map each thereby making 3 maps eligible for the match. Then both the teams will pick a map, if the same map is picked, the match will be played on the picked map else the map not picked will be finalized for the match.
  • All the matches will be spectated by the coordinators.
  • Teams are allowed to use push to talk and not party voice chat.
  • Disrespecting the opponents by means of party chat may lead to disqualification of the team.

  • Clash Royale
  • A Draft Battle tournament,so that all players will get equal opportunity.
  • Details of the tournament is as follows:

    • Length: 4 hr
    • Game Mode: Draft battle
    • Level Cap: 9
    • Maximum losses: 5
  • Participants have to join the room at the given time failing to do so may result in disqualification.
  • After this tournament, the top 15 players will be qualified for finals.
  • Final tournament will be the same as above.
  • Top 3 players of finals will be awarded.

  • Rocket League
  • Standard 3v3 tournament will be generated in-game id and password will be given prior to the tournament.
  • Participants will have to join in teams and all the team members must be registered for i.fest 2020.
  • All matches will be knockout matches.
  • Qualifiers will be best of 1 and finals will be best of 3.
  • If any of the team members are found unregistered the team will be disqualified.

  • CODM
  • Standard 5v5 Frontline matches.
  • Map selection will be random.
  • All matches will be of knockout format.
  • Room id and password will be shared before the time allotted to the team.
  • IThe team has to be present 10 minutes prior to the allotted time.
  • Any player found using custom scripts (wall hacks/ aimbot) will result in straight disqualification.
  • All matches will be spectated by the coordinators.

"Where there's a maze, there's a way!". For all the puzzlers who think they have puzzle solving instincts and can outthink anyone with their skills, they've come to the right destination! Amaze your way out to i.Maze! Come, become "The Maze Runner" and show off your thinking caps. Let's see who becomes the Harry of the TriWizard tournament!

  • The first two rounds will contain sets of questions.
  • The first question to begin with will be known only after solving a puzzle correctly.
  • Answers to each question will lead the participant to the next question that is to be attempted. If a participant reaches back to the question that he/she began with then that will be considered as one loop completed. If the time remains then he/she can solve the initial puzzle once again and begin with a different question.
  • There will be many dummy questions in the entire question bank. If a participant answers a dummy question (even if correctly), it will cost a negative mark.
  • All the questions will be funny and interesting puzzles.
  • Only the eligible candidates after the first round will be able to attempt the second round and the same goes for the final round after the second round.
  • The final round will be a buzzer round in which the participant that has answered the fastest and correct answer will be graded points.
  • If someone presses the buzzer and could not answer correctly then the question will be passed on to the second fastest participant and a negative point will be awarded.
  • The registration will be carried out using Google Forms and the registration period will be till 15 minutes before the competition.
  • A WhatsApp group of the registered participants will be created for any queries before the competition.
  • During the course of competition the coordinators will be available on a Google Meet for any queries.
  • The platform and the access to it will be provided to the registered participants 15 minutes before the commencement of the competition.

  • If your work found to be copied from somewhere, it will be disqualified along with your participation will be considered NULL and your submitted work will not be posted on instagram page.
  • For vector art, you need to submit original extension file along with Image file(.jpg/.jpeg/.png). i. e, if you are using adobe illustrator for it, make sure to submit .ai file along with it.
  • For Poster Designing, you will need to submit any other files such as image used at any layer. If you are making poster in applications, submit original extension file in option of other files in submission link(i.e, if you’re making poster in Adobe illustrator , make sure you submit “.ai” file in ‘other files’ upload option)

  • Note: UI/UX competition may get cancelled if we don’t receive enough participants

  • Participants will be given a choice of 10 products to choose from. They are free to choose any one of them.
  • Once the topics have been chosen, they will be given 10 minutes to contemplate about their respective topics.
  • The participants are required to join the discord voice channel allocated to them.
  • The presentation time for this round is 2 minutes.
  • The best 10 participants will be chosen for round 2.
  • In case of any discrepancy, the decision of the (respective authority) will be final.

  • This round requires the participants to try to solve a problem statement given to them.

  • Participants can make use of slides/ppts/flowchart if they wish to and present their solutions to the given problem.
