This is there where you can show off your logical abilities by solving teasing puzzles, word twisters and interesting mathematical questions. So, all that you need to do is Think, Think, and Think…..

Rules:
• It will be a 1.5 hour event.
• The questions would be based on logical reasoning and general aptitude e.g. teasing puzzles, crosswords, word twisters, etc.
• Questions would be divided into four categories- Easy, Medium, Difficult and Master level

An on-the-spot event that tests your innovative skills and thirst for creation. This challenge highlights the theme of creating something innovative. Here is the platform for you to test your practical machining skills and basic concepts from high school. It's hard to make science more entertaining than this!

So guys, gear up as this i-fest pours in with a new and more thrilling challenge to make your adrenalin rush in your nerves. Teams will be provided with scrap items to work on the Problem Statement which will be given to the teams on the spot. Participants have to come up with a working prototype of their idea.

About:

Do you like playing with circuits and making crazy things out of them? If this is so, then here is the chance where you can show off your skills and unleash your talent. Even if you are not sure, then this will be the platform for you to get started. In any case it will be a fun experience.

i.Electro is a simple electronics based competition which will be conducted in two phases.

Phase 1: Theory Based
This phase will consist of simple objective type questions which will check your electronics aptitude.
Duration will be of 1 hour.

Phase 2: Hardware Based
Shortlisted participants from Phase-1 will be given a real life based question. Implement it in the most appropriate and the quickest way possible. Duration will be of 1 hour 30 minutes.

Note: Phase-2 is optional for first yearites, they will be judged on the basis of Phase-1 only.

• Students who will be able to clear the Phase-1 can only participate in Phase-2.

Rules and Regulations:
• No teams are allowed in Phase-1 but shortlisted participants are allowed to make a team of two in Phase-2 only on the cost of 20% of their marks.
• Using of unfair means may lead to immediate disqualification.
• In case of any disputes, decision of IEEE Student Branch DAIICT will be final.

Ifest ,2014 is around the corner and we invite all you programming geeks and elite coders to test yourself and show t the world how awesome you really are in online contest,i.Code.
• There will be only one round. A total of 5 programming problems will be hosted on HACKEREARTH
• Contest problems will become visible on October 29th, 2014 at 08:00 (IST) and end on October 29th, 2014 at 11:59 (IST). It's a four hour contest.

Rules and Regulations:
• Contest is open for all the participants of iFest.
• The contest is for individuals. No teams are allowed.
• Each program will be tested based on our critical test data. However output and input should be exactly as specified in the samples provided. White space characters in the output will be ignored.
• Any kind of plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
• The number of submissions that one can make during the contest on the problem will be limited to 500.

Judging Criteria:

1. Different problems have different points based on their relative difficulty level.
2. Users are ranked according to the most problems solved. Ties will be broken by the total time for each user in ascending order of time.
3. The decision of the organizers in declaring the results will be final. No queries in this regard will be entertained.

Do you think you can code in C language without taking a look at the monitor? Yeah, then this is an event especially for people like you where you need to code with your monitors off! The competition will bring out the most accurate programmer. For the competiton you do not need any algorithmic skills but the artistic thinking to code.

The competition will be held in two phases :
1) You will need to show that you have knowlegde of C language. To test that, you will be given two to three codes to write on the paper without seeing what you have been writing. The top scorers will head for the second round. (Numbers will be decided according to the number of participants)
2) Second and the final round will be where you need to write code for a given problem with your monitors off! The problem will not be complex algorithmic problem and you will be judged on basis of accuracy, cleanliness, indentation, presentation of logic and structure of program.
